Jewel Weddings was co-founded by Soso Dekeda, a qualified Dental Technician who decided to follow her passion
On the weddings side, we have found that many couples are leading busy lives and thus do not have the time and industry knowledge to plan for their weddings adequately. This often leads to stress and frustration.
This presents an opportunity for us to assist them to take over the role of planning their weddings and thereby alleviating the stress and frustrations, which leads to them enjoying the period leading up to their wedding day and the actual day.
Similarly on the marriage front we have also found that once couples are married, they settle into “maintenance mode” and don’t really take the time and effort to build their marriages. The challenge with this is that the potential that can come from their union is not fully expressed. What we do to assist in this regard is that we create tools, like seminars and other resources, that can help couples enrich their marriages.
Soso Dekeda

Soso is a certified wedding planner who studied Wedding Planning through Penn Foster College, USA. She also holds a certificate in Business and Entrepreneurship from the Joseph Business School. She has over 10 years of experience in wedding and events planning, having planned weddings and events throughout South Africa and Swaziland. She is our Chief Operating Officer and Lead Planner responsible for providing creative direction. Her technical acumen, as a former Dental Technician enables her to provide a precision-driven service.
Lwazi Dekeda
Founder & CEO
Lwazi is an admitted and practising Attorney, Notary & Conveyancer by profession, with over 19 years’ experience in the legal field. He is the founder of Lwazi Dekeda Inc and our Chief Executive Officer, responsible for administration and communication. He has over 10 years of experience in wedding and events planning.
